Mary's
Basillica,
founded in 1881,
stands
beautiful
and
timeless in
the
heart
of
downtown
Phoenix.
The
basilica
is the oldest Catholic church building in Phoenix. One
of
church's proudest
days
came
when it
received a historic visit
from the Pope John Paul II in September of 1987. St. Mary's is still an active
Roman Catholic church and hold mass on a daily basis.
