Meteor Crater

scientifically
known
as,
Barringer Meteorite Crater.
The
crater
is
a gigantic hole in the middle of arid sandstone in the Arizona desert. The crater,
created
by
a
large
meteor
nearly 50,000
years
ago, is nearly a
mile wide, and 570 feet deep.
