Opened in 1877, Bisbee’s Queen Mine was one of the richest copper mines in history.  The mine eventually closed when Phelps Dodge ceased mining operations in Bisbee in the mid 1970’s.  Nearly 100 years after its initial opening, the Queen Mine opened as a tour for visitors in 1976.   Approximately 50,000 people a year visit the Queen Mine to  Board the train and descend into the mine to  experience what it was like work underground where temperatures are 47 degrees year-round.  Tours are conducted by miners, many of whom worked in the nearby mines and share with you their own personal experiences.
	Tour Schedule  *Tours are available 5 times a day, 7 days a week. * Reservations are suggested. *Tours ar aprox. 1hr, 15min   Underground Tours 9 a.m., 10:30 a.m., noon, 2 p.m., 3:30 p.m.   Surface Mine & Historic District Tours (Van Tour) 10:30 a.m., noon, 2p.m. and 3:30 p.m.   *Last tour on each day starts at 3:30pm   Tour Rates (Rosson House)  Underground Tours $12 + tax for adults, $5+tax for youth (4-15yrs), Free for Children under 4yrs   Surface Mine & Historic District Tours (Van Tour) $7 + tax per person.
